Logistics Coordinator

Logistics Coordinator – We are looking ideally for an immediate start, this is a full time, permanent position.

Hours: You will be required to work 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday-Friday. On some days you may be required to work from 6.30pm – 3.15pm.

28 days’ holiday per annum, plus one additional day per year of service – up to 33 days

Salary: £20,800 – £23,000 D.O.E.

Location: Barlaston, Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire

Experience: This role is unique so we are looking for a positive attitude, an aptitude for learning and a logistical mindset. Full training will be given. Customer service and or operational experience would be beneficial but not essential. Supervisory experience would be desirable.

About the role:

The Planterra group are excited to announce that we have an opportunity for an Logistics Assistant to become an integral part of the Logistics team. We are looking for a confident, motivated individual who is both organised and logical. You will support the onsite side of the business, managing a schedule for all of our onsite team, liaising with clients and team leaders, ordering materials for the jobs and writing quotations based on the clients’ requirements as necessary. This is a challenging role but very rewarding. Please note, full training will be given for every aspect of this role.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, with the ability to motivate others, organised and a positive person that communicates well and finds it easy to engage with a wide range of people. We work as a team, supporting each other, therefore the right person will be a team player.

With training you will be able to work quickly with an excellent eye for detail, have great problem-solving skills with an ability to seek resolutions and be a logical and logistical thinker.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Communicate with customers via phone, email and letter

· Organising, supporting and communicating with the onsite team

· Update the in-house system with detailed, accurate notes

· Completion of the P.O. system

· Answer incoming telephone calls

· Create reports using a company template and update spreadsheets where necessary

· Provide ongoing support to the Logistics Manager and taking the lead as necessary

· Take receipt of goods

· Ordering materials

· Organising specialist tool/plant hire

· Respond to emails in a timely manner

· Scanning

· Shredding

· Photocopying
