Salary:           £21,000 – £25,000

Hours:           9.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility may be required in order to meet the operational needs of the business.

Location:      Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

The Senior Administrator will support the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office team, including aspects of compliance, project management, HR and recruitment. It is the role of the Senior Administrator to assist the office to ensure that it is running as efficiently and effectively as possible and delivering a high standard of customer service across the companies. Your role will also encompass the in-depth knowledge of each company, so that you can support each area as required and understand the technicalities if any challenges arise and how to potentially resolve etc.

 

The role may include support on projects required to further the group’s interests, such as assisting the Managing Director as required.

 

The type of tasks involved in your area of work will change depending upon the requirements of the business.

 

  • Answering the phone in a polite and professional manner and screening phone calls.
  • Dealing with incoming emails and allocating to the relevant person.
  • Booking in and quality checking site visits.
  • Actively working on administrative processes and tasks to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Ensuring that processes are followed and quality standards achieved by the other members of the team.
  • Assisting in recruitment related tasks, such as conducting interviews.
  • Assisting in HR related matters.
  • Assisting in Health and Safety and other compliance related matters.
  • Completing adhoc projects for various aspects of the group.
  • Completing any tasks allocated by the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director in a timely manner.
  • Liaising with other employees, suppliers and clients.
  • Specific projects that will be assigned for you to carry out personally. These could include research and then presenting your findings to the Managing Director, with your recommendations on how to proceed.

About you:

  • Minimum 9 GCSE’S A* – C Grade (including English, Maths and ICT).
  • Competent using Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Intermediate computer literacy.
  • Well presented.
  • Confident and friendly manner.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
  • Efficient and well organised.
  • Time management skills.
  • A team player – happy to work with other members of the team to achieve goals.
  • Previous experience in a management/supervisory role is preferable.
  • Work to a high standard, showing attention to detail, showing care and thought in all that you do.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with other members of the team, clients and suppliers.

 

The ideal candidate will be a confident, driven person who is organised and communicates well both with customers and the internal team.

You will be working as part of the office team, however you will have specific responsibilities.
